About Periodic Thoughts

Periodic Thoughts is a space for curiosity, learning, and ideas that make everyday life a little clearer.

Here, I explore science, education, practical knowledge, and the questions that make us stop and think. Some articles may begin with chemistry or research, while others may grow from something observed in everyday life, teaching, reading, or simply wondering why things work the way they do.

My goal is simple: to share thoughtful, well-researched content in a way that is useful, understandable, and worth coming back to.

Meet the Person Behind Periodic Thoughts

I’m Gbemisola J. Bamiduro, PhD, a chemistry professor, educator, and researcher with a background in environmental chemistry.

Much of my professional life revolves around science, teaching it, researching it, and finding ways to explain complex ideas more clearly. Over time, I have also become increasingly interested in the many questions and observations that sit outside the boundaries of a classroom or laboratory.

Periodic Thoughts grew from that curiosity.

I wanted a space where I could write more freely about science, education, practical knowledge, and the ideas we encounter in everyday life, sometimes through the lens of a scientist and educator, and sometimes simply as a curious person asking questions and following where they lead.

I believe useful knowledge does not have to be complicated to be meaningful. My hope is that Periodic Thoughts becomes a place where readers can learn something new, see something familiar differently, or leave with an idea worth thinking about.
